Flat bow making with Andy Fletcher
The course is aimed at novice bowyers & will suit anyone over 14 no experience or previous woodworking skills needed.
All the tools - shaving horses, spoke shaves etc - & materials will be provided and bowstrings for everyone too.
The bows we will be making are known as 'primitive flatbows'. Using a single piece of locally sourced Ash the participants will be able to take home not only a finished, unique, vernacular 'selfbow' which has a history going back thousands of years, but the knowledge to make their own bows at home too.
